How To Deal With Oily Skin

Oily skin is a combination of many factors, both external and hereditary. It can be caused by stress, a diet that has oily foods, improper oily skin treatment products, dirty surroundings, or extreme heat or cold. It can also be an effect of pregnancy, medicines, and inherited genes.

Why is my face so oily?

If you ask this question every time you look at the mirror, chances are, you are one of the many adolescents in the world that suffer from oily skin. Although oil problems are not restricted to any age bracket, teenagers, especially the ones without oily skin treatment knowledge, are the usual victims. This is due to the fact that during this stage, changes in the body occur. The sebaceous glands become overactive and produce excessive oil. Skin pores are also enlarged, increasing the chances of dirt and oil being clogged inside. Clogged pores results to the development of acne and blackheads.

Choose skincare products that provide adequate moisture to the skin. Do not wash excessively, or the skin will revolt by producing even more oil! Use products that have the same pH as your skin and avoid those that will dry your skin out. If your skin feels tight after it’s washed, the product is not good for you. Washing twice a day is quite enough for most.

If you have greay skin, you may not need to apply any more moisturisers. If you do need to, choose something ultra-light and avoid heavy anti-aging creams. These products will not only clog your pores, but could make the oiliness worse.
